The Connections Job Development Program is governed by a Board of Directors, elected from the community, who, with the Executive Director, guide the development of the Connections program. Our Board of Directors also work to ensure that our goals are met.
Our distinguished board members are leaders and professionals who bring years of various business and academic experience to the Connections program. The Board of Directors are dedicated to ensuring that the Connections Job Development Program remains responsive to the needs of unemployed individuals by providing them with FREE and timely access to our Employability Skills Training Program.
Jason Corey is the Board President of the Connections Job Development Program.
Mr. Corey also manages Red Hat's App Development Platforms business for the U.S. Public Sector. Mr. Corey has over 15 years of experience in the technology sector where he has held various sales and management positions at Fortune 500 companies including Red Hat, Dell and Sprint Nextel. Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida and a Masters in Business Administration.
Jason resides in Trinity, Florida with his wife Tiffany and their three children.
Jason Zandecki is the Treasurer at the Connections Job Development Program's Board of Directors. Jason is the founder of Zandecki Law Firm, P.A.
The Firm was created to assist individuals and business clients in effectively resolving their legal issues.
He is an attorney admitted to practice in the State of Florida with a specific focus on Adoption Law, Guardianships, and General Civil Litigation.
For over 23 years, Sheila Krautner has been at Connections Job Development Program, Inc., as an employee, Executive Director, and in retirement as a Board Member and volunteer.
Previously, Sheila was employed at Abilities, Inc. of Florida overseeing the Federal Projects with Industry Workforce Grant, management of the Job Coaching Program for Vocational Rehabilitation and Worker’s Compensation programs, and the Case Management Program for people with disabilities enrolled in various training programs.
Sheila, a native from England, UK, is a graduate of De Anza College, Cupertino, CA; University of California at Santa Cruz, and attended University of South Florida from their graduate program in Rehabilitation Counseling.
Connections Board Member, Roz Fenton, has an illustrious career that fosters the Connections Job Development Program in the specialties of Banking, Finance, and the Pasco County Court and Library Systems. Additionally, Mrs. Fenton serves as a Board Member for the PACE School for Girls and Pasco Kids 1st programs. She is also the President of the Countywide Friends of the Pasco Library System, serves as a Guardian ad Litem for Pasco, participates in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and mentors high school students at Take Stock in Children.
Before retiring, Mrs. Fenton was the Director of Court Services for the Clerk of the Circuit Court in Pasco County, where she was responsible for planning, operations, budgeting, personnel, court liaison and reporting for multiple court support departments including Circuit Civil, County Civil, Small Claims, Felony, Misdemeanor, Juvenile, Dependency, Criminal Traffic, Civil Traffic, Probate, Guardianship, and Jury Management.
Previously, Mrs. Fenton was the Assistant Vice-President for Pioneer Savings Bank in Pasco County, FL, where she served as the Director of Technical Training, Branch Manager, and Assistant Vice President. Mrs. Fenton was responsible for taking a Savings & Loan institution to a Commercial Banking platform as the Technical Training Director. She also managed branch operations for multiple locations, budget center manager, business development, and legal compliance monitoring.
Meet Connections Board Member, Gino Casanova. His distinguished professional career includes being the Director of Administrative Affairs for the West Florida Division of Florida Hospital, where he joined in 2012. He currently oversees the West Florida Division Executive Office of the Florida Hospital system. Gino manages all of the hospitals in the West Florida Division in the disciplines of clinical excellence, accretive performance, brand awareness, market indispensability, and expanding the footprint of the system. He oversees operations for the Division Office and leads the departments of Government Affairs and Community Benefits. Gino also represents Florida Hospital to local, State, and Federal government entities.
Gino holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Yale University, where he was Captain of the Yale Polo Team and a representative of the Yale College Council, the governmental student body of the university.
Prior to working at Florida Hospital, Gino worked as a Legislative Aide in the Florida Senate for Senator Mike Fasano, where he helped to create and foster legislation into State law, as well as aide in crafting the State budget. Before joining the Florida Senate, Gino worked on several legislative campaigns through the Republican Party of Florida.
In his spare time, Gino loves to cook, travel and spend time with his family.
Board Member, Rick Casey, serves as the Director of Career and Testing Services at Pasco-Hernando State College. With over fifteen years of career development, test administration, and supervisory experience in education and workforce development, he has assisted countless students with achieving academic and career success. He received his undergraduate degree from Murray State University, his master's degree from the University of South Florida (USF), and is currently a Ph.D. doctoral candidate at USF. He and his wife Amy are both educators who happily reside in the Tampa Bay area.
